Despite a slow economic recovery and a fired up conservative opposition, the president's job approval and favorability rating? remain quite stable and reasonably healthy. Polling we did with the University of Texas Health Science Center just before the final vote on healthcare reform found that approval for the bill went up when Obama's name was attached to the legislation, which I take as an expression that, like Reagan, voters have confidence Obama will do the right thing.
