There are many inherent advantages in deploying NVRs and IP cameras, like lower instal- lation cost, remote configura- tion capability and scalability. In CCTV installations, wiring cables is a major expense in implementing analog cam- eras and speed domes. With NVRs and IP, users won't need to spend the extra money and time on coaxial and power wiring because the NVR sys- tem runs on Ethernet and supports power over Ethernet (PoE). The idea of quick system expansion is also an NVR attraction.
