Lipids are fats, which may not seem like an exciting topic for many of us. But within the world of infant nutritional research, it is a topic on which some of the most exciting discoveries of the last 20 years have been made.

And some of the most important discoveries involving lipids have come from Mead Johnson Research and Development Center in Evansville. That's where Deborah Diersen-Schade has looked at how the lipids DHA and ARA, which are present in small quantities in breast milk, can enhance visual and brain development in babies.
