Summary
The MedlinePlus library includes a presentation concerning Ieishmaniasis, a relatively uncommon infectious disease spread by the bites of infected sand flies, but does not include presentations addressing bipolar disorder, the mental health recovery movement, or employment issues faced by individuals with a mental illness. Based on feedback from focus groups, we have developed presentations across three areas: * clinical information (e.g., illnesses, treatments, and approaches to recovery); * "systems" information (e.g., enrolling in behavioral health programs, housing options, information on advance directives, and Medicaid and disability benefits); and * advocacy and self-help information (e.g., local support groups, recovery information, and stories of hope and inspiration).
