A new health insurance tax credit.
On March 15, 2004, the Wall Street Journal reported the results of a recent survey regarding the economic concerns of the nation. Of those surveyed, 47 percent indicated concerns ranging from the "shrinking availability of health care and pensions, to the intensified job losses from foreign competition." Actually, two years earlier, in an effort to respond to these concerns, Congress used a tax credit to expand the coverage of health care insurance for these American workers.
