As an increasing number of organizations rethink their modes of operation, motivating staff members has become more paramount to the success of teams, departments, and companies. Using the modified version of the DISC model of behavior, one can assess how people are wired, which will give clues about what motivates them. Here are four basic qualities: 1. decisive, 2. influential, 3. steady, and 4. compliant. When thinking of motivating staff and accommodating oneself to meet others' needs, the role as a leader or trainer takes on a new dimension. Truly successful companies have figured out that without happy and motivated people, they do not have a business.
