Summary
The set, by Lynn DeBree (who also directed), admits the audience into the parts of the house behind the bedroom that become the writer's prison. It's as multi-layered as the play, with its dark comedy, snide observations about writing, perspectives on fame, and especially the relationship between its two characters. In so many ways, the "villain" of the piece, a simple shlub who believes in traditional family values, is much more sympathetic than the purported protagonist, an arrogant twit who thinks he's better than his bodice rippers.
