$21 Million Targeted for City Housing

Evansville officials Tuesday announced their largest housing program yet, a $21 million initiative to build and rehabilitate homes near the city's Downtown.

Some specifics such as locations must be worked out for the Front Door Pride program, said Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel. But in Tuesday's announcement, he said the program will feature a combination of public ($7 million) and private ($14 million) money and will handle about 366 homes.
