Cool temperatures and a dusting of snow were nowhere to be found, but Boonville got its first taste of the Chrsitmas spirit recently.

Campers staying in Scales Lake Park on Aug. 5-7 adorned their camp sites with Christmas decorations as a part of the lake's first Christmas in August event. From a waving Santa and Christmas lights to Christmas trees and inflatable Christmas characters, the campground was only lacking snow.
