Cornell Gilmore joined the Army in 1981 after graduating from the University of Maryland in 1980-the Army has not been the same since. Wearing a huge smile that filled the room; expressing kind words that filled our hearts; doing what was right without fail; showing kindness to his Soldiers and his neighbors; demonstrating a loving dedication to his family; and living out a faith that indeed moved mountains-Sergeant Major (SGM) Gilmore was truly larger than life.
