Summary


Who better to star in William Shakespeare's tale of young love? The couple was married in 2003; one year after [Carrie Santanna] graduated with a master's in fine arts degree and while [Adam Simpson] was completing the master's program prior to his graduation last year.

"Substitute the words 'red state' and 'blue state' for the family names of Capulet and Montague and there are several couples that have had to reach out beyond drawn battle lines," [Jerry Waxman] said. "Also, unfortunately, teenagers and young adults are still overwhelmed by trying to live up to what they think their families demand of them and, like Romeo and Juliet, feel they'd rather die than find a way to work through it. It's never been written better than Shakespeare did it and it's still never been truer."
