For most of its 45 years, the CPA firm Amper, Politziner & Mattia PC in Edison has pursued organic growth. But last week the company formally unveiled a merger with Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP of Jenkintown, Pa., that will add about 100 employees to Amper, bringing its professional and adminstrative work force to some 600 people. News of the merger first broke on NJBIZ.com. Howard Cohen, who heads Amper's Edison operations, spoke with NJBIZ Staff Writer Martin C.

There's a lot of opportunity for growth in Pennsylvania, which is seeing a boom in companies specializing in technology, life sciences and health care research.
