Summary
Many years ago I remember hearing a biblical quote that I had heard many times before, but for some reason, this time it really struck home with me in applying to the practice of law. The quote was: "What good does it do a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?" derived from Matthew 16:26.
I realized you can substitute a whole lot of things for the words "whole world" and "soul." I kept playing this quote over and over in my mind, substituting various words in each of the places where it was appropriate.See the full content of this document
