Summary
Visiting tenor Stephen Noon's high range, excellent diction and narrative feeling made him a superb projector of the Evangelist's words. Sixteen singers shared the solo arias and character roles. These included locals familiar from Madison Bach Musicians performances, but many were products of the UW Music School's voice program, such as Samus Haddad (the sturdy Jesus), Emily Fink (outstanding in her one solo aria) and basses Matthew Tintes and Scott Johnson.
