LONDON (Reuters) - The cost of renting office space is almost three times higher in London's West End district than in Midtown New York, highlighting the U.K. capital's continued popularity as a global business hub, according to data released on Wednesday [May 5].

London's West End, a preferred home for many hedge funds, media occupiers and government bodies, was named the world's most expensive office market in CB Richard Ellis's Global Office Rents survey, with annual rents of $182.94 per square foot.
