The Department of Energy says natural gas inventories are 2.2% higher than this time last year, and futures prices have hit the year's high at $8.75 per million metric British thermal units (mmRtu) and spot prices are 55% higher today than they were then. Mother Nature has been an incredible bull this year, the hottest since 1971. There's never heen more petroleum in storage in the developed world. And it is at the highest price ever. That completely defies all fundamental relationships.
