Learning from clients.

A defining characteristic of social work as a profession is its focus on the individual in context, on the dual concern with promoting individual well-being and social justice. Social workers promote social justice and social change on behalf of clients, using the term "clients" inclusively to refer to individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities (NASW, 2000).
