Da komrade: the Tula Tokarev Model 1930/1933.

He was 59 years old. Tall, straight as a ramrod, fit, with silver hair and a great, flowing white handlebar mustache. Fedor Vasilevich Tokarev (1871-1968) was the epitome of a Cossack from the Don River Basin of Russia. Being both a brilliant gun designer and apparently an amiable comrade, he had survived the bloodshed of the Bolshevik Revolution. The year was 1930 and he had entered his new pistol design into the government trials established to find a replacement for the aging and outdated Nagant revolver.
