Indiana Gov. Joe Kernan said Friday that he still is hoping the Legislature will be able to offer targeted property tax relief to those Hoosiers hardest hit by the reassessment.

"We know that in some parts of the state that homeowners have been hit hard, I think particularly in older homes in the inner cities. We know that farmers have been hit in some communities, that seniors have been hit," Kernan said.
