Research by the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University confirmed that N/ECCC effectively lifts Newark residents out of unemployment and into well-paying careers. With funding from the NJ. School Development Authority, the NJ. Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Prudential Foundation and the Port Authority, N/ECCC has trained more than 600 area residents.
