Dimensional Measurement Interface Standard
A partnership composed of CMM manufacturers and CMM users has developed a seamless CAD-CAM file transfer system known as the Dimensional Measurement Interface Standard or DMIS. It is an ANSI/CAM-I 101-1995 standard used in two-way communication that offers writeable and readable vocabulary terms for the preparation of results data and inspection programs.
