Summary
The four works differ significantly from each other, but at the same time are all clearly the work of a single musical mind: the stacked repetitions and echoes of September Canons have a foreshadowing in the layered samples of irritable baby noises and of church bells in Peaceable Kingdom, and even more obviously in the pulsing harmonic stasis of Woodstone.
