T G Baynes was established by Thomas Godfrey Baynes as a sole practitioner in 1894. History records that Baynes had a strong sense of responsibility to the community. Perhaps his most notable contribution was his involvement with the lovely park attributed to 'Capability Brown" at nearby Danson Park and the mansion designed by Robert Taylor, the architect of the Bank of England. In more recent times his successors, who now number 17 partners and 170 staff, perceived another threat not just to the local community but to their whole way of life and doing business. T G Baynes decided not only to move into the world of estate agency but also into the world of debt collection.
