After years of bitter complaints from public schools that their private counterparts have an unfair advantage in prep sports, the Illinois High School Association has decided to re-examine options for leveling the competition.

At a series of meetings that begins Monday in Bloomington, administrators from public and private schools will discuss proposals that could include doubling the enrollment of private schools for classification purposes and expanding the number of classes in all sports for all schools.
