Summary
National Occupational Standards (NOS) are industry performance standards that specify what someone needs to know and be able to do to work effectively in a given industry. NOS also have a role in the design of qualifications and provide a measure against which individuals can be assessed when judging competence in credit management functions. All ICM qualifications are linked to the credit management NOS and new ICM units give learners the opportunity to demonstrate their competency in credit application processing, credit assessment, collections and debt recovery. The present review aims to ensure the NOS remain fully up-to-date and relevant to industry as well as taking into account advances in the way NOS are presented.
