Summary


Mandatory drug testing procedures in county high schools are both similar and straightforward.

The district provides student identification numbers to its contracted testing agency. Prior to arriving on campus, the agency uses computers to generate a list of random numbers and provides that list to the school. The school then links numbers to names, and selected students are taken out of class and asked to provide a urine sample for testing officials.
