Financial advisors, also called financial planners or investment consultants, can provide a broad base of personal financial services. To begin your search for a good one, ask friends, family members and colleagues who are at similar stages in life and have similar net worths for their recommendations. It's also a good idea to get recommendations from financial professionals, such as your accountant or insurance agent.
