Maybe that's where I developed my personal standards regarding PDAs, be they public displays of affection or public displays of affliction. For my parents didn't exactly let it all hang out in the affection department either, which is why it was such a surprise when I learned, years later, that they had sex virtually every day, when my dad came home for "lunch." My point is, they had a sense of occasion. When in public, you were on your best behavior. When in private, you got your freak on. And that's what the Bickersons seem to lack, a sense that there's a time and place for everything. If you really are stuck with them, I'd consider calling them on the carpet (or the kitchen floor) regarding their love/hate relationship. Tell them to get a room...or a divorce.
