The old Edina farmhouse had stood vacant for several years before Hazel Jackson set foot inside in, the mid-1920s. Like many residents of the swelling Minneapolis suburb, she had heard tales about the imposing brick residence at 50th Street and Wooddale Avenue. Long before the 1923 death of its owner, a childless: widow, the home had become, the subject of much gossip, curiosity, and speculation.
