Summary
Are the residents of Columbus taxed too much? Are they taxed too little? Are they taxed sufficiently to adequately and efficiently fund the programs, services and responsibilities of government that will make this city the best possible place to, in the words of Mayor Michael Coleman, "live, work and raise a family"?
A little intellectual honesty is needed by some of the candidates in this campaign. Two key Republican candidates, mayoral candidate Bill Todd and City Council candidate Heidi Samuel, have called for a significant increase in the number of police officers in Columbus.Samuel and Todd essentially say, "reprioritize."
