It's the curse of the Gen-Xer in Pittsburgh: We're inundated with nostalgia and have little to call our own. No Maz homer. No Immaculate Reception. I was four months shy of my second birthday the last time the Steelers raised a Lombardi Trophy.

Hockey fans had their moments in the '90s and the rest of us enjoyed the bandwagon ride. But for young adults my age, we're more the City of Chumps than Champs. We're more often bridesmaids than brides.

3) January 28, 1996 -- Super Bowl XXX. I still break out the VHS tape marked "XXX" about once a year. It's not porn, but it's got a similar effect. I get excited for awhile, but it's ultimately unsatisfying.
