A public hearing on the state-required preliminary engineering report for the city's planned Southeast Side Sanitary Sewer Separation Project is set for today.

Harry Lawson, general manager of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, said he expects a small crowd and minimal discussion of the plan. That, he said, is because a citizen advisory committee of Southeast Side residents was involved in the project from the early going, helping engineers shape a plan of action.
