Prior, to becoming Principal of Blanche Ely High School; he served in the Miami Dade School system for 14 years at various high schools and middle schools in Miami, Fla. He later became an assistant principal at Blanche Ely High School, Pompano Beach, Fla. [Davida Johnson] says; "After observing how committed this district is in performance levels and curriculum, I knew that I had aspirations of becoming a vital part of such a productive school system." His excellence in high performance levels and curriculum is noted as he receives great support from all levels. He served as an Intern Principal at Dillard High School, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before becoming principal at BEHS last fall. When asked Johnson what is his priority for the school? He expressed, "My focus is to continue in improving the school, raising test scores and serving as a role model for up and coming educators; and to continue to strive to maximize the potential of students."
