WATERBURY, Conn. - Mrs. Gloria W. Keaveney, 82, died peacefully Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Saint Mary's Hospital after an extended illness. She was the widow William Keaveney.
Mrs. Keaveney was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Norfolk, the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Blanchard) Goodrich and was educated in Norfolk schools. Gloria was an active member of several political organizations and was privileged to serve the City of Waterbury as elected town clerk from Jan. 1, 1970 to Dec. 31, 1975 and as Democratic Deputy Registrar of Voters from Jan. 5, 1977 to Feb. 20, 1993. She also was a member of the Democratic Women's Booster Club, the Quota Club, and the Waterbury Democratic Town Committee. She was a member of the East End Community Club and enjoyed traveling with her family. She served as a Eucharistic minister at Christ Episcopal Church of Waterbury where she was an active member.See the full content of this document
