Now Nymox in Maywood seeks to tap a parallel market among nonsmokers who live or work with those unable to break the nicotine habit. Nymox sells a urine test called TobacAlert that can measure whether someone has been exposed to tobacco smoke in the previous two or three days. Brian Doyle, Nymox's head of sales and marketing, says the test gives people "the ability to show the smokers, 'Look, you're affecting me.'"
