Firearms retailers should take the time to impress on their customers the practical aspects of owning multiple defensive handguns, each suited for use in different situations. Top professionals such as Jim Cirillo, Bill Jordan and Jeff Cooper knew from experience the usefulness of having multiple, compatible handguns. For example, a Smith and Wesson Model 4506 can be worn under a heavy overcoat but it becomes too conspicuous in warm weather when the owner is wearing a shirt. In such situations, a Smith and Wesson Model 3913 is much more concealable.
