When a company is purchased by a larger company, the purchased company usually becomes a remnant of memory.

Rare are the times where the purchased company outlives the purchaser.

Town & Country Electric was one of hundreds of companies acquired by Encompass Services Corp. of Houston in the late 1990s. The heavy debt load from those acquisitions forced Encompass to file for bankruptcy protection in lath 2002 and sell off most of its companies.

Just before Encompass declared Chapter 11, Town & Country Electric and the former SKC Electric, which were known as Encompass Electrical Technologies-Midwest, were spun out of the company to become Faith Technologies.
