The city of Evansville announced Tuesday that work will start immediately to extend city water to Southeast Side households that never have been served.

"That's fantastic!" said Brendia Garrison, who with her husband, Ronnie, has lived at 2317 Van Bibber Ave. for 36 years. She said she's been "out here since I was 17, trying to get water." She's 54 now.
