Black advocates and state officials want to help Indiana's black teenagers polish their image so they can find jobs and cut a nearly 50 percent unemployment rate.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 49.6 percent of black teens looking for work remained jobless in 2004, compared with 18.3 percent of white teens.
