More than 91,000 visitors swelled the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2006 in Chicago's McCormick Place--but it was the intentions of attendees and exhibitors more than the "turnstile stats" that made the biennial event a summit meeting for the successful.

Those who traveled the aisles of the show were looking not only for tools and machinery, but also for answers and partnerships that could ensure more productivity in their businesses. The show exhibitors, more than 1,200 strong covering more than a million square feet of space, were eager to oblige.
