Steve Spry is looking to the future. Spry became the executive director of the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce on July 27. I'm looking to bring the Chamber into the 21st century, Spry said. I'm basically the hands-on IT guy. Having a background in Web and software development is proving handy in his new position.

Spry, a native of Ceduna, Australia, worked in software development for 18 years. He came to Colorado about seven years ago to check out the state's technology scene. I came out here on a working vacation to learn some of the technology, Spry said. Australia is behind by about two years in technology. After the trip, he wanted to return home to share some of his newly acquired knowledge.
