GeoSyntec Consultants has discovered that implementing frame relay lowered its paper use significantly, in addition to improving reliability and reducing communications costs. Communication Concepts designed and installed the frame relay setup, which lets Citrix WinFrame/Enterprise applications servers handle a range of functions throughout the environmental engineering company's network. Motorola 6250 routers include circuit numbers and data link connection identifiers (DLSCIs) mapped by MCI, which also connected the network. GeoSyntec learned that e-mail has made the biggest impact in its daily operations, with swift transmission replacing written proposals mailed to clients. The routers will allow GeoSyntec to install Internet access in each office's workstations.
