With the massive controversy surrounding FCAT, the proper time had to be given to the reason why some parents do not allow their children to play sports, the time factor. Parents such as Trifinia Penderapraph would disagree with those who argue against extra curricular activities. "Football helps my son focus on schoolwork because he knows if he does not do well in school there will be no football," replied Penderapraph. Penderapraph said that "football would benefit a number of students" who seem less motivated to complete work or less likely to be successful on FCAT. This principle of education is proven through the kids in the form of Curtis Simpson, number 54, who said that, "College is more important than playing football."
