NORFOLK - Emaline H. Chauncey, 89, of the 900 block of Round Bay Road, passed away July 24, 2009, in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 24, 1919, to the late Julia and William H. Hart in Norfolk. She grew up and was educated in Norfolk and was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Chauncey.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Denise S. Mourning; a son, Willie M. Smith Jr. (Aida); three grandchildren, Heather Rhodes (Roger), Letticia Smith, and Ayinde W. Mourning; two great- grandsons, Nathan and Alex Rhodes, all of Norfolk; a sister, Evelyn Thornton of Bear, Del.; and a host of other relatives and friends.See the full content of this document
