EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

There are always compelling reasons behind sweeping changes; otherwise, why make them? But too often, change initiatives fail even though they are sorely needed. Get managers aligned to the idea of the impending change, and then drive that idea into every corner of the organization before the change process begins.

The reasons for undertaking a sweeping change are usually compelling. Hardly anybody invites that much disruption and resistance for the fun of it.
