Summary

There are several local dining spots where one can embrace midsummer's gustatory plenitude. The first is your special secret berry-picking place. If you don't have one, head to Pearl's Phat Burgers for the only-in-season blackberry milkshake. The Buckeye Roadhouse boasts the best advertising gimmick in the county: an irresistibly fragrant backyard smoker. Joe's Taco Lounge up the road has wonderful grilled corn on the cob right about now. It's a pleasure to sit at an outdoor table at the Left Bank with steak frites and an icy martini, at hand, or out on Sam's panoramic deck with a pitcher of margaritas and a friend or two. The Parkside Snack Bar in Stinson Beach is always good for a juicy, joyful seaside burger, and nothing could be finer than wasting an afternoon at Fish in Sausalito, houseboats abobbing, seagulls asquawking, picnic table brimming with Saigon salmon, tilapla tacos, shoestring fries and a beaker of Guinness. And don't forget to line up at Cold Stone Creamery for a handful of Mud Pie Mojo.
