Summary
Since moving his eponymous store from Hyde Park onto 10th Street a few years back, Trip Taylor has become downtown's destination used book store. He's also accrued quite a collection of movie memorabilia. This First Thursday, Taylor is planting musician Cory Niday out in front of the store, along with a couple of people who'll hang out and sing. Follow the sound of Niday and company through the streets of downtown and you'll find a crowd of movie buffs at Trip Taylor Bookseller. Inside the store will be not only Taylor's vast inventory of used books, but also his growing stockpile of Hollywood mementoes. Among the collection you'll find lobby cards and one-sheet movie posters, some of which is Idaho-related but all of which dates prior to 1960.
"This move is going to be a brand new store," says [Sandra Merritt]. Pottery Gourmet is going into its third year in its current space, and Merritt says the move will happen sometime this month. When it re-opens in its new prime-location corner space customers will find more than just pottery. Merritt promises a "full-fledged kitchen store" with cookware, pots and pans, kitchen accessories, tablecloths, aprons, high-end cutlery and plenty more. This Rrst Thursday, don't let the construction fool you; the store will be open. Pottery Gourmet will host a grand opening celebration in its new location in July.
