Managers working with contract writers can better manage their relationships with them by being consistent with established corporate policies on writing issues. Managers should repeat the process of interviewing to establish rapport and entice new writers to give their commitment to the organization. They should also ask for various specifics from the writers about the targeted audience and goals of an assignment. However, they should not give them everything written on related subjects to avoid confusion. In addition, managers should try to get writers and designers in the early stages of work to establish positive relations. They can even carry out one-on-one interviews to realize increases in productivity and improve communication.
