Summary


Charles Wollowitz's sculptures demonstrate his ability to utilize various materials: "Wheel Bound" uses wood and steel, for example, while "Metaphor" merges wood and copper. Viewers have the opportunity to sample more than 20 of his sculptures, ranging from "Pair," a sparse but imaginative work," to the aforementioned "Wheel Bound," which builds on the conflict between its elements. Although the sculptor works in a nonrepresentative vein, several pieces inspire visual connections, notably "Stone Hinge" and its evocation of certain architectural styles.

Beyond that, she has a capacity for successfully executing various types of work. Pieces like "Yellow Bull" or "Green Tea" are simply delightful to look at. "Composition #5," a thread collage, is small, visually dynamic and very much different from collages like "Divided Eye" or "Wash and Wear Drawing."
