"I'm always thinking about the bank, but when I'm away from work, I enjoy being with my family, or piloting my boat," [Gerry Lipkin] said about the 40-footer he keeps at a home his family has in Florida. "I also enjoy collecting antique trains. It can be tough to track them down, but I bid on them at auctions in New York, and sometimes in Europe."

At 12, he delivered newspapers; at 14, he held down a job as a short-order cook; and then Lipkin worked his way through Rutgers University - where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics - loading trucks.
